 Bio
Mary Elder writes feature-length family films and romantic comedies. After winning the Disney Fellowship in Screenwriting in 1999, Mary spent 18 months in Los Angeles, learning the business side of screenwriting from studio mentors, and honing her craft with established screenwriters. Upon her return to Seattle Washington, she signed with representation, and proceeded to sell two pitches to major studios. Mary has written eight scripts, and made four Hollywood deals. She is currently writing a tent-pole family film. Her feature film, FLOWER GIRL, is in pre-production at Warner Brother's. Mary, and fellow-screenwriter Mark Handley, teach the Certificate in Screenwriting Program at the University of Washington. |
